Andrea Calderaro, PhD is a Lecturer in International Relations at Cardiff University. His research centers on Internet and International Politics, with a particular focus on internet governance, cybersecurity and conflict transformations, digital rights and freedoms, and the role of EU in the global internet policy debate.
He is also affiliated to the Internet Policy Observatory at the Center for Global Communication Studies (CGCS) at the Annenberg School for Communication / UPenn, and he serves as Chair of the ECPR Internet & Politics standing group, a member of the CSISAC board at the OECD. Previously, he has been Lecturer at the University La Sapienza of Rome in “New Media and International Relations”, Visiting Fellow at the California Institute of Technology, and directed the “ICTs for the Global Governance of Peace and Security” Project at the University of Oslo (2012).
